Locksmith service across every Minneapolis neighborhood
Minneapolis keeps us busy in very different ways. Downtown and the North Loop mean cars locked in parking ramps and condo buildings with fob-controlled doors. Northeast and North Minneapolis have blocks of older houses and duplexes. Uptown, Dinkytown and the area around the University of Minnesota are full of apartments where roommates move in and out every year. South Minneapolis, from Longfellow to Nokomis and Southwest, is mostly single-family homes near the lakes and parks.
We are a mobile locksmith, so all of that comes to us the same way: you call, you get a price, and we come to your door, your driveway or your parking spot.
Common Minneapolis calls
- Cars locked in ramps and street parking downtown, near the stadiums and around the lakes. See car lockout service.
- Apartment lockouts in Uptown, Loring Park and the University area. We confirm you live there and get you in. See house lockout service.
- Old locks in old houses. Homes built in the early 1900s often have mortise locks and original hardware. We work on them and upgrade them when needed.
- Lost car keys. We cut and program new keys where the car is. See car key replacement.
Winter in the city
From November to March the calls change: frozen car door locks and fob batteries that die on the coldest morning. Our guide on frozen car doors and locks covers what to try before you call.

Minneapolis locksmith questions
Do you cover all of Minneapolis?
Yes. Downtown, North Loop, Northeast, North Minneapolis, Uptown, Longfellow, Powderhorn, Nokomis, Southwest and the University area. We are based in Crystal, just northwest of the city.
Can you open a car in a downtown parking ramp?
Yes. Tell us the ramp and level when you call, and keep your ticket handy. Some ramps have height limits, which does not matter for our work since we come in a regular vehicle.
My older Minneapolis house has a tall lock in the door edge. Can you work on it?
Yes. That is likely a mortise lock, common in older Minneapolis homes. We open mortise locks in a lockout and can talk you through your options if the lock is worn.
